Evergreen cold tolerant flowering magnolia. Leaves are dark green with deep orange-brown endumentum. Blooms May to June with large white fragrant flowers. Prefers sun to part shade in rich well-drained soil. Requires winter protection from wind and sun in northern climates. Plant does best in organically rich soil. Height 40-60 ft at maturity. USDA zone 5-6.

Evergreen cold tolerant flowering magnolia. Leaves are dark green with deep orange brown endumentum. Leaf color is somewhat lighter than Edith Bogue. In zone 5 we have observed superior blooming rate to that of Edith Bogue. Blooms May to June with large white fragrant flowers. Prefers sun to part shade in rich well-drained soil. Requires winter protection from wind and sun in northern climates. Plant does best in organically rich soil. Height 40-60 ft at maturity. USDA zone 5-6.
